Restorative dentistry

Restorative treatment helps repair teeth that have been damaged or lost through decay or chipped in accidents. It can also be used to improve appearances by closing gaps, repairing chips and treating discoloured or unsightly teeth.

Crowns (or caps) are porcelain or gold covers for damaged or unsightly teeth. Porcelain crowns are carefully crafted to look natural and blend in with the rest of your teeth and can eliminate dark metallic lines around the gums. If a tooth has been broken, or weakened by decay or a large filling, a crown can be fitted to strengthen it.

Bridges can be used to permanently fit a replacement tooth or teeth by being carefully attached to adjacent teeth. A false tooth (or teeth) is attached to your natural teeth on either side of the gap.

Dentures in metal or acrylic are used to replace missing teeth. Their appearance can be changed to make them more natural looking. Recent advances mean we can now offer tooth shades that look very realistic.
